Clarence City Council has announced an extension for its current grants round, providing local individuals and groups more time to apply for funding to bring their community-benefiting ideas to fruition. The deadline for the July round of Community, Environment and Biodiversity, and Cultural and Creative Grants has been extended to September 30, 2026, Clarence City Council confirmed.
The grants aim to support innovative projects that make a positive difference across the city, fostering wellbeing and inclusion. There are three distinct categories available for applicants:
- Community Grants: These grants are designed to assist groups or individuals organising community activities, events, projects, or programs that enhance social connection and participation.
- Environment and Biodiversity Grants: This category supports projects focused on connecting people with nature, protecting local environments, or enhancing biodiversity within the Clarence municipality.
- Cultural and Creative Grants: Funding is available for community organisations, artists, and other creatives to support artistic endeavours, creative projects, workshops, performances, or exhibitions.
Clarence City Council offers grants of up to $10,000 for eligible projects. The Council typically runs two grant rounds each year.
Prospective applicants are encouraged to visit the Clarence City Council’s Grants and Sponsorship webpage for detailed information on eligibility criteria and application guidelines. It is important to note that applications are open for projects scheduled to commence from January 1, 2027.
