A motorcyclist has been transported to hospital with serious injuries after a collision with a utility in New Norfolk on Monday afternoon, Tasmania Police have confirmed.

In a media release, police said the two-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 2:45 pm on 6 July 2026 on Nicholson Street.

The incident involved a motorcycle being ridden by a 38-year-old New Norfolk man and a Nissan utility driven by a 69-year-old man, according to the police statement.

Tasmania Police reported that the driver of the utility was not injured in the crash. The rider of the motorcycle, however, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
