A 36-year-old man from southern Tasmania has been charged with multiple offences following a targeted operation by Tasmania Police.

In a statement released on Monday, Tasmania Police said its Community Protection Offender Reporting team had charged a reportable offender with public indecency, breach of a Community Protection Order, trespass, and unlawful possession of property.

The man is scheduled to appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court today, 13 July 2026.

Tasmania Police described offending of this nature as a “serious crime type” and affirmed their commitment to interrupting such offences to ensure community safety, working with the support of its partners.

It is important to note that the individual is presumed innocent of the charges unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.

Police have also urged anyone who witnesses inappropriate behaviour to report it. They advise calling Triple Zero (000) if a person is in immediate danger, or the police assistance line on 131 444 for other reports. Anonymous reports can be made to Crime Stoppers Tasmania.
